Consider dedicating a portion of your career to
the BC Public Service after graduation and we'll
show our commitment to you by forgiving your BC
Student Loan at the rate of one third of the total
per year. On implementation by September 2007, the
program will also apply to current full-time or
part-time regular employees who have a BC Student
Loan in good standing.
The BC Public Service is a place where employees get the support they need to build a
rewarding and dynamic career. Across the BC Public Service, employees may access up to a maximum of
$5,000 per year for undergraduate degree, diploma and certificate programs and $7,500 per year for
master’s or PhD programs to be used for tuition and books in areas that align with government's
current and future skill needs.
Research shows that kids exposed to public
service at home consider it for their future. Every
year up to 60 scholarships of $2,500 each will be
offered to children of public servants who are
full-time students taking a bachelor's degree
program, trade, technical or vocational training.
Application deadline for September studies is April 30th of the current year.
Pacific Leaders
Graduate Fellowship suspension for
2009
The Pacific Leaders Graduate
Fellowship program is facing a
change in its direction. A decision
has been made to suspend the program
for a year. In light of the economic
challenges that the province is
facing, the program will be under
review to ensure the investment the
province is making is generating the
expected results.
Received applications will not be
further adjudicated and arrangements
will be made to have them returned
to Dean of Graduate Studies at your
institution.
Please check back for updates on
the status of the program.
